Combo Classes- ages 2-5

One Hour Combination Classes We combine Ballet, Tap, and Tumbling to acquaint students with the basics of dance thus developing their minds and bodies for grace, poise, and coordination. We provide an environment that is developmentally appropriate and rich with musical props and stimulation.

Any color leotard and tights, black tap shoes with elastic through eyelets, pink ballet shoes with strings tied and cut. No panties are worn under tights. 

Theatre Arts Block-ages 3-5

We combine Ballet, Tap, Gymnastics and Hip-hop in a stimulating two-hour block of time. Please bring a water bottle. 

Ballet Class- ages 8 and up 

The student learns the basics of ballet, center work, turns, correct body placement, and terminology. Ballet is the basis of all dance is required of all serious students. Black leotard, theatrical pink tights (or black bootie shorts) and pink ballet shoes. Hair pulled up away from the face and neck. 

Jazz Class- ages 8 and up 

This class includes all forms of jazz including “Contemporary” and “Lyrical” jazz.

Jazz is an extension of ballet using more contemporary music. It develops posture, rhythm and creativity. Attire is the same as ballet, and black jazz shoes. Hermes sandals or foot thongs are worn for lyrical. Students must be enrolled in ballet at Joyce Willett School of Dance to attend jazz classes. 

Tap Classes- ages 8 and up 

Develops rhythm and coordination, short-term memory and the ability to think and move quickly. Any dancewear and black low heel, solid sole tap shoes.

Ballet, Tap, Jazz Combo Classes- ages 6 and up 

A stimulating hour and a half of dance for the older child. Black leotard, pink tights (or black bootie shorts, black tap and pink ballet shoes. Hair pulled up and away from the face and neck.  

Theatre Arts Preschool (TAP)- ages 2-5 years.

Theatre-arts based preschool program.  In addition to ballet, tap, theatre and gymnastics students will learn age appropriate academics while focusing on fine and gross motor skills as well as social and emotional development. Students must be potty trained. Sept-June 

Hip Hop Class- Ages 7 and up 

The latest dance and video moves are taught in a non-technical class. Loose clothing and tennis shoes are worn.
